" Rain Rain " ©Dmagone

Rain rain go away, don't come back , just stay away....

Enough with the rain already! The cherries never stood a chance, the roses are multiplying but now they’re all drooping under the weight of the water and the petals are all falling off. Part of the low lying back yard is under water , and one of the smaller trees has fallen in the backyard, broken at the base. I guess I should consider us lucky here in Upstate NY, no large earthquakes, or tsunami’s, no tornados or any major weather events to speak of, but the drenching rain this season. The ducks are very pleased!

A while back during a Rochester rainy season , I sat at my bedroom window remembering the 17th century rhyme, “ Rain rain, go away, come again another day. Little Arthur wants to play.” I thought about this Mommy wanting to get out and run through the puddles and have some fun and then of course it evolved into some playful grownup innuendo.
